Norway Seafood Festival is a celebration of the finest ingredients from the sea and Norway’s coastal culture. Chefs, producers, and seafood enthusiasts gather for two flavorful days filled with fresh ingredients, exciting taste experiences, and genuine joy of food. Oi! Fest is the collective name for the food and drink festivals organized by Oi! Mat og drikke.

Local and national seafood producers are coming to Clarion Hotel Trondheim on March 21st–22nd! Stop by and experience an amazing seafood market for the whole family.

Taste Experiences: Wander around to the exciting exhibitors at the festival and trade for samples using Seafood Coins, which you can purchase at the festival. Or head to the Food Court if you’d rather enjoy a larger meal.

Show Cooking: Well-known chefs from restaurants across the city will be there to show you how they prepare their best and fastest seafood dishes.

The Children’s Seafood Festival: Free activities for kids and young people, with a focus on learning and fun!

Children and young people have a natural place at the Norway Seafood Festival. The Children’s Seafood Festival is designed to engage and spark curiosity in the little ones, with free kids’ activities all day long!

The Children’s Seafood Festival combines play and learning about the ocean and seafood, hand in hand. On March 21–22 at Clarion, it will be packed with fun activities for children and youth.

Norway Seafood Festival isn’t just celebrated over the weekend at Clarion — it’s celebrated all week, across the entire city!

Trondheim’s restaurants, canteens, and institutions are putting an extra focus on seafood in their menus this week. Explore the city’s best and discover both new flavors and traditional favorites.

Here you’ll find top chefs, Michelin stars, and world-class local ingredients. The city’s restaurants are serving seafood menus with something delicious for everyone.

How do I get to Norway Seafood Festival?

We recommend using public transport to get to the festival.

  • By AtB buses, the closest stops are “Pirbadet”, “Hurtigbåtterminalen”, or “Trondheim S”.
  • By train, the nearest station is Trondheim Central Station, about a 5-minute walk to the festival.
  • There is limited parking in the area, but spaces are not guaranteed.

What are Seafood tokens?

Seafood Coins are what you use to pay for tasting dishes from the exhibitors. You exchange for Seafood Coins at the festival, and each coin costs 15 NOK.

Why? This ensures a smoother and faster experience for both you and the exhibitors, avoiding the need to use card terminals or handle cash for each customer.
